Our Top 5 Wedding Destination Locations for 2019
Planning or considering a destination wedding? As luxury event planners we get the privilege to travel all over the globe with our clients and familiarize ourselves with beautiful destinations, perfect for any intimate or large wedding. Here are our top five locations for destination weddings this coming year.
1. Los Cabos, Mexico
Mexico is a host of many locations that we love. It also is home to one of favorite of all time, The One and Only Palmilla. The One and Only Palmilla is a location like none other in Mexico. It is set on the outskirts of Cabo San Lucas, so it’s easy to travel to, and has one of the only swim up beaches in the surrounding area.
It’s Spanish architecture and modern elegance make you feel like you have been transported into Mexico’s history and roots. And the staff at the One and Only Palmilla are unlike any we have seen. They anticipate your needs to the highest degree and we have never been happier than when we see couples placed on that level.
We also really loved the Auberge Resort at Chileno Bay. It was spacious and more affordable, but still had a level of sophisticated modernism that would be perfect for any Mexican hotel. It had a tiered pool system that leads right to the ocean and event spaces that had great views of the water. They also serve some of the best food in the area. Deep in tradition and technique, the chef’s blow you away with their flavors and preparation.
Lastly, we felt it was worth mentioning Solaz Resort. This was one of the newer resorts in the area, so the rooms are stocked with modern influences. And the event spaces aren’t any different. With transformative spaces and ocean views, Solaz is great for larger events that really want to capitalize on the scenery surrounding them, but also enjoy the expanse of a larger resort.
2. Napa, California
Calling all wine lovers!! We love practically anywhere you can get married in the Napa-Sonoma area. The weather is always nice, and the wineries are always a great backdrop to any ceremony or reception. If you want my favorites, you have to check out Calistoga Ranch and the Vintage House.
Calistoga Ranch is quaint and serene. When you are there it will feel like a true getaway for all your guests. Plus, they have many locations for events including private vineyards for ceremonies, lake views for dinner, and a large underground wine cellar for after party. It also has an amazing spa and restaurants on site for satellite events like rehearsal dinners and day-after brunches.
And if you like something a little more lively, then the Vintage House is a perfect location. The spaces are larger there and the rooms are just adorable. The clean white buildings, mixed with exposed brick brings back some of the charm or a high-end event. Chef’s and wine makers alike all love the adorable property located in Yountville, and we love the new renovation of its sister property next door, complete with brand new beautiful barn!
3. Cancun, Mexico
Both locations have a lot of space to host events. Nizuc is larger and can host beach side, or in a ballroom. And it literally has the sexiest rooms I have ever seen. Very chic and worth the ocean view.
The Bayan Tree in set inside the area of Mayakoba, where they have access to riverside wedding locations as well as roof top and boat side events. Both locations thrive off of their Mayan influences. Whether is in décor, food preparation or entertainment, you cannot go wrong with picking a wedding location in Cancun.
4. Jackson Hole, Wyoming
For all the mountain lovers out there, Wyoming and Montana are for you! We particularly love Jackson Hole because of the views of the Tetons and the rich, western roots in the area. The locations tend to be more rustic than in Montana, but they can also be really luxurious. Think high-end glamping, and lovely barns rented out by stars like Kanye West. This place has it all! Oh, and did we mention horses? They are everywhere and they are truly majestic!
As an Arizona-based company we do a TON of destination events for out-of-state clients, here! Our desert surround is like nothing else in the entire United States of America. We have high-end resorts with gorgeous mountain views, European-style architecture paired with natural desert style surroundings, and the iconic Saguaro cactus surrounding all of our favorite locations. Our weather here is lovely 9 months out of the year, and we have become a HUGE destination for all people who crave some serious fun in the sun.
